Evaluation
through tracking management and field surveys on the afforestation project on
the loess plateau in Shanxi, Shannxi and Inner Mongolia is the first cooperation
of JBIC and CANGO. This cooperation is deisgned to find out problems that existed
in the implementation of the said project and purt forward recommentations for
the improvement through participation of local Chinese NGOs in evaluation. Training
for the JBIC ODA Loan-Ningxia Afforestation and Vegetation Cover Project has
introduced a participatory approach and concept in project management which
has changed the traditional mode of implementation from top down to bottom up.
