Along with the rapid socio-economic development in China, many NGOs that are devoted to environmental protection, poverty alleviation, community development, legal aid and health care are continuously sprining up throughout the country. Among them, many belong to grassroot NGOs. Thanks to their passion and enthusiasm in showing concern and care for others, members of these grassroot NGOs throw themselves into their social work voluntarily.

However, the growth of grassroot NGOs cannot be sustained merely on the basis of their individual enthusiasm. They are bound to face all kinds of difficulties and problems in the course of development. In order to better fulfill their mission, they need to set up a complete and scientific internal management mechanism, but they do not know how. The Vision Training Center at CANGO is set up to staisfy the need for internal development of grassroot NGOs.

The sole purpose of the project is to strengthen self-capacity building including networking of grassroot NGOs and to help them achieve sustainable and healthy organizational development. Considering their different needs and problems confronting them in the process of development, the training focuses on five inter-related subjects: NGOs Basics; Fundraising and Resource Mobilization; Project Design and Mangaement; Leadership in NGOs; and, Strategic Planning for NGOs.
